Donate to help Kasie access medical treatment for her RA
Story
Hi everyone, we need your help! This is a fundraiser to help my sister-in-law Kasie Brennt raise money for an important medical treatment for her Rheumatoid and Psoriatic Arthritis!
As you may or may not know, my sister-in-law Kasie Brennt has been battling with rheumatoid arthritis since she was a little girl. The disease has come and gone, and even with prayer has been sent into remission for seasons at a time, but over the last 5 years has returned and become more severe and complex than it ever has been. This has also left her unable to do many of the things God has called her to do in ministry, in leading worship, and pouring into others. The disease has made her quality of life far more challenging, as she suffers from pain all throughout her entire body, and simple tasks prove to be quite painful and difficult, especially as a new mom. Recently, symptoms of psoriatic arthritis have developed, and the uniqueness of her disease has made it increasingly difficult to treat medically, with many drugs, treatments, diets, and tests failing to meaningfully help reduce her pain in recent years.
After many years trying to treat her condition, a very hopeful opportunity to receive treatment has opened up at a far more equipped clinic located in Tijuana, Mexico. This clinic specializes in Kasie’s condition and has seen their greatest levels of success treating people with rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis. We have had several friends with autoimmune diseases visit this clinic, with many seeing big improvements in their quality of life after receiving treatment. Their approach is far more exhaustive than a typical specialist, utilizing several forms of medical and natural treatments, paired with exhaustive testing and careful diagnoses. In other words, it is on a whole other level compared to the treatment Kasie has had access to previously, and could make a BIG difference for her quality of life!
Financially, this treatment is not covered by insurance, which means Kasie and her husband Spencer are having to pay out of pocket. While the treatment is not cheap by any means, it is far more affordable than getting the same level of care here in the United States. The treatment will consist of a 3-day treatment from June 2nd-4th, and follow-up appointments every 1-2 months after. They are needing approximately 5500 for the initial 3-day treatment in June, as well as 1500 for each follow-up appointment. Any amount donated would greatly reduce the burden on them in this time financially, and help make this awesome treatment a possibility for Kasie!
